Greetings Students,
In this lesson we looked at the terms used to describe triangles:
Words that Describe Sides:
equilateral – all sides are equal
isosceles – two sides are equal
scalene – no sides are equal
Words that Describe Angles:
right – one angle is a right angle (90 degrees)
obtuse – one angle is obtuse (greater than 90 degrees)
acute – all angles are acute (less than 90 degrees)
If we pick one word from the angle section and one word from the side section we can accurately describe any triangle.
