Greetings Students,
In this lesson we looked at the relationship between angles and the sides across from them inside of a triangle by measuring creating our own examples to measure. We discovered that the biggest side is across from the biggest angle and vice versa. We also learned that all of the sides and angles are equal in an equilateral triangle. We learned that the two equal sides in an isosceles triangle are opposite from equal angles.
Triangle Theorem 4: In a triangle, the largest angle is opposite the largest side.
Isosceles Triangle Theorem: In an isosceles triangle, the two equal sides are opposite from equal angles.
