Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design (WHSAD) is a college preparatory school for grades 9-12, dedicated to cultivating imaginative critical thinkers. Our curriculum emphasizes knowledge, skills, and literacy, that equips students for creative problem solving through a blend of stand-alone design and architecture courses. We integrate concepts from design and architecture into core academic subjects. WHSAD fosters academic achievement by connecting students’ career interests with classroom learning, preparing them for the world beyond school.
-
Our four-year course sequence focuses on architectural drafting, design principles, and historic preservation. With a hands-on, interdisciplinary approach, students gain real-world skills through internships and technical training.
