Notes and Aim for September 9th

Aim: Why is it important to know the history surrounding a novel's creation? Today we talked about the author of Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury. We also discussed the time period in which he was writing, essentially what's going in the world that majorly influences him. We must remember that all art is a response to time and context, both historical and personal. Bradbury, a man who's born right after World War I, right before the Great Depression, and is a grown man during World War II is affected and influenced by these things.
