Saturday Academy, a partnership of the FAO Schwarz Education Center and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, for students in grades 8–12. Classes are held at the Museum of the City of New York 1220 Fifth Avenue @ 103rd Street in NYC. Saturday Academy is a free six-session program for students interested in American History and SAT preparation. There’s no homework and all course materials are provided. TEMA (Teen Empowerment Mural Apprenticeship) is a paid after-school pre-professional public art apprenticeship program for teens (14 to 21-years-old) interested in using visual arts for the benefit of local communities. TEMA apprentices create public works of art collaboratively with Groundswell professional artists on projects commissioned by community partners. Apprentices will collectively research, design and fabricate a work of public art.
