If you’re looking for a summer job, you can apply now for the city’s Summer Youth Employment Program. The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides New York City youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with paid summer employment for up to six weeks from July 5th through August 19th . Participants work in entry-level jobs in a variety of industries including:
- Arts and Recreation
- Educational Services
- Financial Services
- Healthcare/Medical
- Hospitality/Tourism
- Information Technology
- Manufacturing
- Marketing/Public Relations
- Media/Entertainment
- Real Estate/Property
- Retail
Programs are located in community-based organizations in all five boroughs of New York City. Youth can apply for the program online or at a community-based organization during the application period. Participants are selected by lottery for the program.
In addition to paid summer jobs, SYEP also offers participants workshops on job readiness, career exploration and financial literacy. In order to apply, the participant should complete an application by March 17th, 2017. Summer jobs are available for up to 6 weeks starting July 5th through August 19th.

• Complete the attached application and return it in person to the community‐based SYEP provider of your choice (a list of organizations throughout the City is attached to the paper application).
