1. GRADUATION CONTRACTS/COLLEGE PLANNING
All seniors must see Ms. Valentin to sign their Graduation Contract and begin the college application process. If you missed your scheduled appointment, see Ms. Valentin ASAP to reschedule.
2. ALL COLLEGE APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUDBMITTED BY DECEMBER 16, 2013.
CUNY Fee Waivers – There are only 14 fee waivers available and will be awarded by lottery. To be eligible students must have completed application online and have submitted proof of income to Ms. Valentin no later than December 16th. CUNY application is $65.00.
SUNY Guides are available in guidance office.
COMMON APPLICATION – Seniors are reminded to check spelling of counselor name and/or teacher recommender name and email on the Common App.

SENIORS NEEDING LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION FROM MS. VALENTIN MUST SUBMIT THE GUIDANCE COUNSELOR RECOMMENDATION QUESTIONS FORM.
3. REMINDERS/IMPORTANT DATES
ü November 2 – SATs – Students registered to take the test MUST present ID and ticket.
ü November 8 – Last day to register for the December SAT.
ü November 7 and 8 – Senior pictures, graduation cap and gown measurements will be taken.
ü December 6 – Deadline for Senior Dues ($175) – See Ms. Nelson for payment.

Coast Guard Reserve Scholarship
Coast Guard Reserve College Student Pre-Commissioning Initiative (Scholarship Program) (CSPI). CSPI is a program designed for motivated individuals who demonstrate a high caliber of academic and leadership excellence, with a desire to serve their country in the United States Coast Guard. Selected students will be enlisted into the United States Coast Guard, complete basic training, and receive full funding for up to two years of college.
