The YMCA recognizes many teenagers cannot secure work over the summer. The majority of employment opportunities available to teens oftentimes do very little to build their resumes or skill sets. The West Side YMCA has developed Teen Career Connection (TTC) to address this need. TCC is an eight-week comprehensive internship program, providing NYC youth an unparalleled opportunity.
TTC is an eight week program, which consists of two weeks of job readiness training and six weeks of the internship. Participants are placed in their industry of choice and are paired to a mentor for the entirety of the program. Participants also received two monthly metro cards, a $300 clothing stipend and a $1,500 “working” stipend.
Application period is open December 23 to March 12 at 11:59pm
Eligibility: Current sophomores, juniors, seniors living in the 5 boroughs and available for the full eight weeks.
