The 10th grader for the month of April is Arlene Lindo. Arlene is currently ranked third in her graduating class. Her teachers chose her as the best student this month due to her dramatic improvement from the first to the second marking period. She also helps other students, serving as an in-class tutor whenever her peers have a difficult time understanding their work.
Arlene has been always been a good student–she won her first writing award at a tender age of four, and became a published poet by the age of nine. She also loves to play sports. In fact, Arlene is part of an after-school tennis team and a rugby team–so don’t mess with her! If you don’t know anything about the sport of rugby, and how tough one needs to be in order to play this sport, please click here. The best way that you would mess with Arlene is if you try to talk to her on the telephone, which she absolutely loathes.
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design, we are very proud to have this talented young lady as part of our student body.
