Hello Seniors! Many of you have been asking about Internship Opportunities for this year — here’s your FIRST chance!
In order to be considered for ANY internships this school year (between now and June 2019), you MUST complete the online application here: http://cteapplication.nycdoeopsr.org — make sure you have your resume ready to upload AND you answer the questions as part of your application.
Once you have completed the online CTE application, you are required to complete Ms. Wilson’s survey at: https://goo.gl/forms/RtCHYNADkAxIqv6D3
The following positions are currently available through the CTE ISP (Industry Scholars Program) Internship Program. Please read about the opportunities carefully, and see Ms. Wilson or Mr. Codio with questions. All internships will run from Monday, October 29th through Friday, December 21st, for a total of 60 hours (8-10 hours/week). You will indicate your interest in these positions on Ms. Wilson’s survey, no later than Tuesday, October 16th.
Fall 2018 Internship Positions Currently Hiring:
Architectural Grille — AG is seeking two students for their manufacturing facility in Gowanus, Brooklyn (G train to 4th Avenue). One student will work in the design department, using AutoCAD. The second will be with the metalworkers. https://www.archgrille.com/
3V 100% Juice Mixes — 3V is seeking two students to work in their graphic design department in Dumbo, Brooklyn (F train to York St). https://3v.co/
ABCO HVAC Supply — ABCO is seeking two students to work in their warehouse in Long Island City, Queens on inventory/distribution (G train to Court Square). https://abcohvacr.com/
Juniper Industries — is seeking 1 intern for their manufacturing corporation for office/computer work (excel, word, etc.) (M to Middle Village). http://www.juniperindustries.com/
Securitech — A custom doors/locksmith company is seeking two interns with AutoCAD and/or engineering skills for their Maspeth office (~30 minute bus ride from WHSAD). http://www.securitech.com/
MTA — there are a number of positions with the MTA administration, in a variety of offices (computer work, filing, etc.)
DSF — positions available with Division of School Facilities in Long Island City, Queens involving architecture and engineering
