At WHSAD, students don’t have to wait until after college to start gaining work experience. We believe that workplace experience is just as vital as classroom learning. Our goal is for students to enter college and adulthood with the skills to lead independent, self-sustaining lives. Our work-based learning program plays a key role in achieving this goal.
WHSAD offers a unique and engaging four-year curriculum focused on architectural drafting, design principles, and historic preservation. Our hands-on, interdisciplinary approach weaves skills training and internship opportunities into core academic subjects. Students can earn a Career & Technical Education (CTE) endorsed diploma in Architectural Drafting & Design, and up to 6 college credits upon graduation.
Every student has the opportunity to participate in paid internships with our industry partners. For more information on internship opportunities, click here.
If you have any questions, or are interested in hosting an intern, please contact our internship coordinator, Emily Wilson, at 718-388-1260, extension 1390 and at wilson@whsad.org.
