MINUTES
The PTA meeting began on time
The Parent Coordinator, Mrs. Chu, informed the WHSAD parents that the school has enough funds for the Parent Workshops. This will be beneficial for the parents and their adolescents. The Parents were able to plan these workshops once a month in the evening. This would definitely accommodate the working parents and their adolescent. Mrs. Chu and parent stated the students should be encouraged to attend these workshop and if they do, can earn community hours for graduation.
Therefore, the parents were able to come with six Parent Workshops that they felt the students can benefit from. This will also engage the parents too so they can enable their students with any challenges they may encounter.

- Finances Common Cents to enable students to budget their earnings.
- Academic Success/Time track management.
- Bullying prevention.
- Stress Less.
The eleventh grade parents will be raffling a thanksgiving basket during the Parent-Teacher conference on Thursday, November 21st, 2019. They will be be selling one ticket for $5.00 or two tickets for $8.00. This is will help reduce the cost the senior dues for the Juniors next year.
A junior parent is also planing to sell empanadas for the school but did not have a tentative date.
It was brought up at SLT meeting to have a tab on the school’s website to post the SLT & PTA minutes.
There will be a petition during the parent-teacher conference for parent to have an opportunity to sign for the need of speed bumps around the school.
Parent-Teacher Conference is on Thursday 11/21/19 in the evening 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Parent-Teacher conference half-a-day is scheduled Friday, 11/22/19 12:00pm-2:30pm.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:55pm. The next PTA meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 12/12/19 at 7:00pm.
