The WHSAD Tales:
The seniors were asked to compose a 200-line, narrative poem that teaches a moral and satirizes a character that they had previously created. The winners of the writing competition, which we based on our readings of Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales, will be attending a college classroom at St. Joseph’s College right here in Brooklyn. For the first time they will be experiencing the nature of a literary classroom at the collegiate level to enrich their own education.
