Aim: How do we use the verb ir to talk about future plans?

Do Now: Do you remember how to conjugate the verb Ir?                                                                              

#1 Conjugate the verb = Yo voy, Tu vas, El va, Nosotros vamos, Ellos van                        

#2 Make three sentences with any of the conjugations.

Quick Review: What is an infinitive verb?

-The infinitive is the un-conjugated form of a verb.

Examples: bailar, escribir, hablar, jugar, dibujar, comer…

If you want to say you are going to do something, you would use the formula, “ir + a + infinitive.”

For example, if you wanted to say, “I am going to swim,” then you would say “Voy a nadar.” 

Note: If you are not going to do something the NO comes before the verb ir.

Homework#1: Write 10 things you/friends/family plan to (not) do during the holidays using the verb ir + a + Infinitive. To be turned in!
